I am reminded of the parallels with (and differences from!) two other modern institutions: the USSR security apparatus (known variously as the MVD/NKVD/KGB, who also deployed large military formations as well as permanent official and unofficial infiltration of the military); and the Viet Cong.
The very concept of an islamic revolution is not tolerable for both the incresingly unveiled cryptofascist ziowest and the Arab medieval oil satrapies.
However, they were never meant to success. It was the west who sheltered and protected Khomeini in Paris, as they had also sheltered and protected Lenin and Trostky.
Exiled revolutionaries are used as levers to steer an tame "allied" governments in order to keep them on the tracks. When the Palevi Sha called out the zionist abomination and tried to develop a nuclear weapon for Iran, he was brought down by the empire.
These clerics job was to rewind Iran back to the middle ages, just like the Afghan taliban were armed to do. The islamic hemisphere development and modernosation was and is considered an existencial threat by the western satanic crytofacist elites. The plan was to dislocate the Iranian statecraft itself, establishing the foundations of a permanently failed state à la libanese, sunk in perpetual civil war between irreconcilable factions. Lebanon was the model. Today, Iral, Syria, Lybia replicate that model. The Islamic world had to be a unextinguisable inferno of chaos, poverty and desperation. The west was never about universality but suppremacy.
Soon after Khomeini landed in Teheran, the west threw against the new regime one of its rabidest dogs, Sadam Hussein, bleeding the country in a decade long massacre. Years after, Sadam Hussein was given his due for his loyalty.
Everything was done to avoid peace and development in Iran but, against all odds, the regime consolidated, certainly due to the sophisticated institutional architecture described in the article which, in addition could work as a model for other islamic countries.
This was the reason of the otherwise unexplained humiliations the Iranians went along for the last decade, including the assassination of thousands of leaders, and a permanent state of siege and foreign bred terrorism. They needed to gain time at all costs.
With all the plans in the book failed, the empire had to go all in, including the nuclear option, which they will probably use in the coming days.
However, given the level of depletion and destruction that Israel, the US +20 bases in the region, and the nomadic capitalistic Arab satrapies have experienced, even the nuclear option could be the too late moment for them, marking the epochal defeat of the most abominable empire the centuries have known.
Great essay, thanks for taking the time to research and share. I've always known the IRGC was formidable, but I had never encountered a methodological breakdown and write-up of the organization.
Your essay made me think about the perennial apparent lack of knowledge across the West, whether because of ignorance or ideological capture. As someone who's studied international relations and has lived in many countries, I'm always awestruck by the profound low quality discourse percolating down to everyday common people, who mostly turn to MSM, which interacts with "experts" and analysts of publicly facing think-tanks and govt. institutions. In Italian we say: siamo messi male, which translates to: we're in a bad spot.
I don't know what the USA-ISRAEL target selection process is, how much it relies on predictive software and AI, but intuitively I'd say the IRGC has been applying lessons from previous learnings and I can see why [my & many analysts] predictions that the USA will loose this war has a high probability of being correct.
A much needed explanation. Very much illuminating.
Incredibly informative article, thank you!
Thank you.
